If you can read this, you might want to skip straight to the content. Also, kindly take a moment to read my rant about Web design—especially if you’re wondering why this site looks a bit…dull.

…etc.

Welcome to the new new TrumpetPower! — or to the old TrumpetPower!, or however else you care to look at it.

According to the World Wide Web Consortium, Cool URIs Never Change. I don’t know how cool my URIs are, but it does seem a bad idea to change them if it can be avoided. Therefore, I’m keeping the entire old version of my site here, mostly as it was before. Your bookmarks (ha! as if anybody’s bookmarked me) are safe. As I have the time and the inclination — and the former is in quite short supply as I type — I’ll re-work things as I see fit. But, until then, I’m just gonna let everything sit here…exactly as it was.

P.S. A lot of the stuff here is really, really, really outdated. Caveat lector.

“We now return you to your regularly scheduled link rot, already in progress.”

Welcome to the new TrumpetPower!

The astute amongst you will notice that I’ve re-revamped this site. I don’t have time to write about it, but suffice it to say that the back-end code has been completely re-written.

As you returning visitors—not that there are many of you—can tell, I’ve completely re-designed this site. Actually, strike the “re-”—it’s been years since I’ve had anything other than vanilla, static HTML on this site. Now, everything’s done with HTML::Mason, PostgreSQL, XHTML, CSS2, Apache, and, as always, OpenBSD.

This new site contains most—if not all—of the information in the old as well as some new stuff. Hopefully, it’s presented in a cleaner and more attractive fashion (but see my rant on the subject of Web design, especially if you’re using a recent version of Internet Explod^Hrer and things look screwy).

As of March 25, I’ve added a site map to help you find your way around here. All pages accesible through the site are listed.

If you’ve come here looking for a site designed by somebody other than me, then you should probably mosey on over to http://monk.trumpetpower.com/, which is the home of most of the sites I host. Additionally, the site I host for the Arizona Alliance for Arts Education remains intact and largely unchanged. The latter, in fact, is now running off of the same Web engine as trumpetpower.com and is starting to be updated on a much more frequent basis than ever before.

I’m debating whether or not to create a “What’s New” page. I’ll probably do so when this list gets too long.
